You do not need the right terminology. "The lights in the back room flicker when the dryer runs" is more useful than a guess at the cause.

The town or address. Whether a job works often comes down to location, so this saves a round trip of questions.

Roughly how old the property is
The age of a building says a lot about what is likely behind the walls and how straightforward the work will be.

Whether it has been worked on before
Previous work, part-finished jobs, or anything you already know went wrong. It changes the approach.

Photos, if you can take them
The panel, the fixture, or the area in question. A photo answers questions that are hard to describe in text.
